When I went to the polls yesterday, I was struck by the number of incumbents who were running for re-election unopposed. Many of them were circuit court judges. Whether or not judges should be elected, appointed, or both opens up a whole different discussion.

Regardless, we need more people to get involved and run for office even if it's only to raise issues and contribute to the debate. If you've ever considered running and are a Milwaukee resident, the city has set up a nice website containing the information one needs to know in order to run.
