Rieckhoff book cites Kerry campaign flaws

Raw Story has reprinted a portion of Paul Rieckhoff's book entitled Chasing Ghosts: A Soldier's Fight for America from Baghdad to Washington.

In the book, he speaks to the way the Kerry campaign ignored sound advice from advisers when it came to choosing a running mate among other things. The excerpt is good so I may have to pick up the book itself.

Rieckhoff served in the Iraq War as a Lieutenant with the National Guard, and also founded the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

1) Chasing Ghosts is an ASTOUNDING book. One reading delivers more insight into what is really happening in Iraq than watching 3 months of corporate news. I recommend it to EVERYONE.

2) Kerry DID run a poor campaign and THANK GOD HE LOST! As much as it pains me to say that, the Democrats would be getting the full blame for the civil war that is happening right now. Kerry was a mid-term sacrificial lamb candidate. The Democratic Party has been saving and strategizing for 2008 and took a pass on 2004.

Just my opinion anyway.
