What the guy meant to say
John Kerry's prepared remarks from the other day:
"I can't overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq."
He screwed up a Bush-isn't-very-bright line in his speech. Even given the explanation, Republicans will continue to pretend he was talking about US troops rather than Bush up through Election Day in an effort to mislead voters. They're banking on enough of us not catching on before then.
Oh by the way, 102 more US troops were killed in Iraq in October. The fact that it's not getting more attention than the above story is what's outrageous.

The ghost of John Kerry haunts the Dems in time for Halloween 06. Stop talking John! Your not running for anything and if you are (pres 2008) you are not helping yourself.
What next, "Actually I meant to say this after the election before I said it prior to it "? Senator Kerry in top form
Honestly, John you have been a fine public servnat but you are not a strongs pokeperson for a national campaign. Keep your comments to yourself until next week.
Would that make him even dumber than Bush, since he couldn't beat him in the election?
There's a difference between being intelligent, and running an effective campaign. In the end, it's up to the voters. We don't have a system of philosopher kings.
